The giant cardigan of Cardigan.
Yesterday I was so fortunate to see the giant cardigan of Cardigan.
A beautiful exhibition of a collaborative work of knitting art, put together by Lisa Hellier. She came up with the idea of knitting a map of Cardigan, on a giant knitted cardigan.
She had a team of local people ,and herself, getting together, like a knitting bee, to create this work of art.
I can't tell you how lovely it is, but it's stunning and hopefully you can see it in these photos.
You can view it at the Guidlhall Cardigan now.
Enjoy :)

Here you can see the back in detail...
Again the back with the sleeves outstretched out...
A little more detail...
You can see my daughter in the background :)
The inside opens up to show faces of the people that live here...
and my daughter striking a pose again....
more detail..
I love the houses and the water...
and we must not forget the mermaid of St Dogmaels...
lets get knitting !

It's time......
It's time.....to paint mermaids on the clock.
As many of you know my home is linked to Perigrine, the fisherman, who caught the mermaid and set her free in the 17th century. So to honour them , I am beginning to decorate my home with images of them both and the sea.
So I started by sketching mermaids on my wall clock. Next will be my upright piano, door panels, and bathroom.
Watch this space :)

They are breeding like rabbits !
A lot of new bunnies have hopped up from the burrow lately......
Lets see who there is then........
Firstly we have the Locket keeper, I am really pleased with this design as she can stand up on her own, she wears a silver locket around her neck, to hide a secret message...
Here is Martin, he has an interview, hes wearing his lucky, emerald green, velvet tie...
there is also champagne Charlie, racing about...
and super buns, saving the universe....
I think there are more in the nest :)
Have a lovely thursday, take a walk and look at all the signs of spring that are presenting themselves.....
its just around the corner.....

New critters in esty land
There's alot of rabbit goodness going on here at the moment, we have very large ones, smaller girly ones and even some sitting on broaches for you to wear.
It's that time of year, and there's many more on the sewing table.
We have had some lovely weather of late, so a wee bit of gardening is happening, but more of that later :)
Happy days :)

Happy 2015
Happy 2015 to all my dear friends.
I have been working hard behind the scenes, hibernating in a creative way, trying to stay focused for the year ahead.
I have been working hard behind the scenes, hibernating in a creative way, trying to stay focused for the year ahead.
I have decided that a lot of my time is being dedicated to creating the puppet troop and theatre this year. But also concentrating on the etsy shop, and only selling rabbit themed items for a while.
The shop has recently been 're stocked , and I will add things regularly.
I want to wish you all a fabulous creative journey this year, here's to us all :)

Christmas time at darling H.Q.......
Its all very headless chicken time here, but I thought you might like to see the homestead , with the decks up :
here we have the little prim bird tree, that sits in the kitchen ......
then theres the tall slender artifical tree , that houses our vintage glass bauble collection--Mr Finn did this tree, I was most impressed--I didnt have to change a thing !
mostly vintage , with a little bit of the new....
its hiding the wall clock, but space is a little tight in our cottage, but cosie :)
blackberry and white chocolate muffins to eat ( I needed space in the freezer, so it was a nice make with the blackberries )
Our lovely town of Cardigan.......
the real tree in the dinning room , smelling of pine and holding home made decorations....
Dottie-May, dressed this tree and very nice too !
and my ingle nook, showing my stencils for the windows .....
