A home with a view............

I have been absent from blog land for a while due to a house move and this fabulous weather, and it looks like an indian summer ahead !

So heres a peep at the new abode, looking at the views from it....

First we have the sun rising, as seen through our front door.........

we have quite a panoramic view of the world here, as we live rather high up on a large hill.......

The windows are old and sash, with wonderful light melting in........

I love the windows and the glowing light.

This is the tiny window in the top of the stable door........

and a closer inspection of that landscape......

Our garden is on a slope, but the top piece is flat :) so we can sit and sip our tea.......

The setting sun.

I am working hard on the garden, but I will cover that on a later post. But you can see how distracting the view is cant you :)

Big, big skies.......

With the sea, always there to draw us, just around the corner.

So lucky and happy to be here

Tis the season to get knitting !

Now we are settled into the cottage, I am enjoying  my needles clacking again in the cooler evenings. There will be a few more things added to etsy very soon of the knitted variety, also a range of patterns too, so we can all get knitting.

A Learner Driver.....

Another addition to the affordable art series, a mixed media study, with a lot of humour. I try to use humour in nearly all of my work, as I think its a coping mechanism for everyday lifes ups and downs.

A smile will always make you feel better.

Priced to sell, as I am passionate about people being able to afford real art. Its a very vibrant coloured piece, which sadly the camera can never seem to really catch. I hope you have fun looking at her.

Have a brilliant day !

1950's Inspired still life.....

Here we have another in my affordable art series, about to go onto etsy now.
I thought it would be fun to make a painting evocative of those wonderful floral fifties fabrics of bunches of flowers, that were commonplace in the 1950's, I have enjoyed it very much. Quite a joyful project.

I am passionate about making affordable art, so that everyone can have the chance of owning something original, it makes me feel good, and makes my job as an artist feel more worthy.

More posts coming soon, with the new etsy makes , I am now focused on keeping that etsy shop well stocked, so fingers crossed I can keep organised and keep on .

Have a beautiful day, and take time out to smell those flowers :)

Finishing things.........

I am desparately trying to get things finished in my studio, lots of projects that arent yet finished but are coming together slowly. My last lot of commissions all go out on monday and I feel that I wont be doing any more commissions after that. I will be making work and loading the etsy shop, etc, but no more things made to order, as with my ms , I just find it harder and harder to apply myself to order, its easier for me to go with the creative flow these days.

Foxgloves in the forest.........

If you take a right turn, down by the green velvet tree, you will see ...............

an abundance of beauty !

I have never seen as many foxgloves as these, amidst the trees and fern..........

and they can be seen for a few miles.

Its become my favourite daily walk of late.

I want to enjoy, every purple hue....

until they fade and spread there glorious seed.

Such a lovely combination!

A bountiful display of beauty, lining the pathways and the distance.

Our walk always takes longer, as its hard to leave such an amazing sight .

Bunny and Mr Finn enjoying the splendor of it all.

I can just see Mr Finn in there !

But its time to go home now......

I hope you enjoyed the stroll !  :)
