Exhibition at Calke Abbey......

Well I have been soooo busy and am now enjoying the time to catch up on all things internet :0)

Heres the paper dress that I made from last years national trusts magazine, at my exhibiton at calke abbey, the dress was made on the spot with a stapler gun and was not pre planned and turned out rather well.

So you now know what to do with all those old magazines, get busy !!

QuEeN AnNe at Sudbury hall Museum of childhood...

I was so very fortunate to be able to study this beautiful wooden Queen Anne doll that is at the national trust museum of childhood in Sudbury Hall. She is a cracker !!! Her clothing is stunning, but I especially loved the little watch hanging from her waist, lots of ideas and inspiration, a beautiful museum :0)

New StuDiO and The GuIlD ...

Heres my new studio that I am preparing to renovate , the rabbits think its alot of work--but well worth it !! I shall be running workshops too, very soon from the Long Eaton Art Rooms--Yippee !!
Also I am so grateful that I have been accepted in The Guild Of Master Bearcrafters--I am so blessed.

An Izannah Head in progress..........

Heres the somewhat slightly scarey start of a head, early days, as I have to work in layers, but I am pleased with it, as its an izannah walker style that i am aiming for.

inspiration through illustration......

I cant tell you how delighted I was to find this illustration of children on an old french pattern that I own. Its utterly charming and filled me with so many ideas of lovely dolls to make and their trousseaus !!
