how do i get into all those tiny arms and legs , you often ask me--well i am blessed with four lovely children, two teenagers and two younger ones and the later occassionally love to help, heres little finn in action and dottie may :0)

Being an artist is not for the faint hearted. We must be true to ourselves and have faith in what we do. Its a disease......

To all of you who are finding it hard right now, please keep your chin up, keep plodding on and most of all beleive in what you do, all will work out in the end.

residency and three week exhibition in Derby Arboretum

Exciting news, I shall be the artist in residence in the orangery, for three weeks in june at the arboretum in Derby. Its a beautiful space and I cant wait to work there. I will be working on site for everyday during this, so please come and see me :0)

Moving to my new studio shortly, which is a real little dolls house with an upstairs and a downstairs !!!

There I will be running workshops as well as making my little friends ......

a three week exhibition and residential coming up in the city of Derby soon, in June---more news about that later-----so keep yer eyes peeled.....you never know whats going on at the tinchapel..............

Antique Machine of the 50's.......

Well firstly apologies for the lack of postings, but I really must introduce you to my latest love interest........... and here she is, this very stylish and to die for Husqvarna sewing machine. Not only is she a real beauty but she really sews her heart out !!!

I urge anyone who wants a good machine to get onto ebay and use the search engine !

she does nearly 50 stitches too, and anyone who needs a hand with codes and settings for these, please feel free to email me and I will be happy to help :0)

the odd bod mohair bears have landed !!

These great little bears have landed--they will be sold at the country living fayre--all one of a kind mohair bears--great xmas pressies and there will be alot of characters to choose from. They are all one of a kind made from high quality german mohair and at a great price too ! Make sure you come and see me at country living and grab yourself one of these little fellows ! :0)

I am so proud to announce that Tinchapeltextiles has been chosen to exhibit at the country living christmas fayre at the design centre in islington, london. As you all may know its quite hard to get into and work has to be submitted to a panel for scrutiny...... but fantastic news to be allowed to do this event. Its been one of my dreams for some years now !!

So it would be wonderful to see everybody there !!

Lots of gorgeous things are being made and i will be posting plenty of images as i whizz through my designs.

Heres a new little lady, she will be available at the show, shes a grey velvet monkey, inspired by an antique toy....enjoy !!! There will also be a boy version of this darling !

Diana Shepherds most excellent exhibition !!

Well its a busy time for me at the moment, with kit production going through the roof, but it was a real treat to take time out and visit one of my dear friends Diana Shepherd, whos recent exhibition of hand drawn wallpapers was outstanding, she is so very talented as you can see. anyone wishing to discuss wallpaper commissions etc, please email me, and i will happily put you in touch with her. The exhibition took place in derby, and was part of the art in empty shops scheme--simply wonderful !!

Heres the first glimpse of Mr Punch's head, or is he looking a bit like Bruce Forsyth ?????

I am delighted with him so far, he is a rod puppet, I just need to sort out body and hands etc, but all my gear is in the studio and i am at home...booo hooo.....

I am sure I have another project(s)...to get on with......
